Krasin Wind Report

KRD carried out a detailed technical due diligence and red flag assessment for the Krasin wind project in Poland, providing an independent review of the key technical, environmental, grid, land and operational risks affecting the asset and its future development.

The assessment covered the project’s environmental decision, zoning and permitting framework, land leases and easements, grid connection arrangements and consistency between the approved project layout and technical documentation. Particular attention was given to environmental obligations affecting turbine operation, including bird and bat protection measures, noise requirements and potential curtailment impacts on long-term energy production.

KRD also reviewed the project’s grid position, including existing and planned connection capacity, network reinforcement requirements and the potential impact of grid-related curtailment. The assessment extended to turbine technology, site suitability, turbine supply and O&M arrangements, technical condition, warranties and long-term asset lifetime considerations.

Land rights were examined across turbine plots, access routes, cable corridors, substations and rotor-sweep areas to identify potential contractual and operational constraints.

The findings were consolidated into a structured red flag matrix, categorising risks by severity and identifying recommended mitigation and further investigation. This provided stakeholders with a clear understanding of the project’s technical status, key investment risks and the issues requiring attention before future development or transaction decisions.
