Technical Advisory for Data Centre Investments

Independent site, power, grid and infrastructure due diligence for data centre investments in Poland and CEE.

KRD supports investors and developers in assessing whether a site can meet the power, infrastructure, planning, environmental and resilience requirements of mission-critical data centre developments.

Our site assessments are informed by the location requirements and recommendations of EN 50600-2-1.

Data Centre Technical Advisory Scope

Existing Experience

Hyperscale Data Centre Site Assessment

Poznan Metropolitan Area, Poland

KRD carried out a multidisciplinary technical assessment of a 9 ha greenfield site in the Poznan area for a proposed hyperscale data centre development. The review focused on the key factors affecting site suitability, development risk and future investment decisions.

The scope included Power & Grid Due Diligence, with consideration of potential grid connection capacity of up to 100 MWAC, subject to connection conditions and the issuance of formal connection terms. KRD also assessed planning and infrastructure constraints, fibre connectivity and utilities, environmental considerations and climate-related risks.

The site review was informed by the location requirements and recommendations of EN 50600, helping identify potential risks and constraints at an early stage.

KRD’s role was to provide independent technical advisory support, giving stakeholders a clearer understanding of the site’s suitability and the key issues requiring further investigation before development.
